“'It's a pretty fabulous house,' Bishop says. Floors range from stone and stone tile to a rustic wood flooring, recycled American chestnut. An interesting design point in the home comes in the master bath, where square-hewn, Appalachian-style logs are used for walls: 'They wanted to mix in a little of Tennessee-style logs,' Bishop explains of the [owners'] desire to connect with their past Civilian Conservation Corps and Smokey Mountain log cabin memories ... The architect for the home is Janet Storey, while the builder is Blue Ribbon Builders, both of Big Sky, Montana.”
