“For the expertise of a local professional contractor, they contacted JoDean and Doug Bing of Blue Ribbon Builders in Big Sky, Montana. As [the owner] was still working in North Carolina, he and [his wife] were able to visit the site only once a month during construction. He notes that what they were able to observe of the process was very interesting. 'When we decided where we wanted a door or a window, the carpenters would take a chain saw and cut the opening,' he says. 'There was no room for mistakes.'"
